Dr. Greg Ellis November 11, 2012 Share 0 Tweet Pin 0 Share 0 Intermittent fasting is a term used to describe changes in feeding/eating patterns. There are many possible variations in temporal patterns. Not only the timing of feeding but the composition of the foods that are eaten dictate the responses of the body to the various fasting patterns. Ultimately, the changes at the cellular level determine what happens at the whold body level. There is also overlap between these issues and the idea and use of calorie restriction. And even if one follows a CR regimen he can also vary the feeding/fasting framework as well..
