I Have A Theory | Weight Neutrality

by Mark Boyle

According to National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey

Weight Neutrality data on obesity in adults more than doubled over half a century, from 13.4 percent in 1962 to 38.2 percent in 2014, and the National Bureau of Economic Research reports the estimated annual health care costs of obesity-related illness to be nearly 21 percent of annual medical spending in the United States.

With links between higher body mass index and increased risk for disease, including Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain cancers, public health messaging to the masses and patient advice from medical practitioners have centered on weight loss as both prevention and treatment for many chronic diseases.

However, there isn’t a single therapy (dietary, surgical, pharmaceutical or otherwise) that has been shown to sustain long-term weight-loss maintenance in a significant number of people.  Published: 05/02/2017 Understanding Weight Neutrality BY TAYLOR WOLFRAM

Weight Neutrality

This recent Survey proves my prior point, what the Medical Establishment, and Nutritionists are saying, and doing, does not help.   Read Post Here

It is my Theory that too many Smart People are busy working on too many things, and the Right Hand, does not know what the Left Hand is doing.  This type of research Blurs the Lines with way too much unconnected information and findings.

Weight Neutrality, Just The Facts Ma'am.

One of the biggest fallacies is that most Doctors still consider a Patient's daily caloric intake to be 60% carbohydrates, with Protein at 20% and a very Low-Fat percentage, as being Healthy.  When the patient's health worsens, they extrapolate the findings into some theory that fits their belief structure.

“Obesity Paradox” may be the Theory of the day, it refers to the anomaly of some people with BMIs in the overweight and obese categories, especially older adults and even with chronic disease, outliving people with normal BMIs. Or, behavioral health research that weight stigma, stereotyping and bias based on one’s size, is associated with increased calorie consumption and binge eating, negative body image, depression, greater likelihood of becoming obese, and reduced desire to engage in healthy behaviors.

Blah, Blah,Blah, and people that swim for a living have a Greater chance of Drowning than those that don't, unless they are attacked by a shark.  The number of people that are attacked by sharks usually lose less than 20% of muscle tissue, but, of those that died from the attacks, twenty-something percent were actually Resuscitated, 2 times, and 1/2 of them went on to die.  This example of statistical babble is why no one is getting Better, Healthier, or losing Weight.

After reading this article, I now believe, wholeheartedly, that we are screwed and on our own, because they are truly lost in their own psycho-babble.

Let Me Repeat My Order, Can I Get Some Facts Ma'am?

In contrast, Mr. Burke, a Scientific Historian,  has looked at individuals throughout history who have made the discoveries that have advanced our civilization, and he has found that they share a different approach to learning. Those who make discoveries are explorers who respect no boundary, who break out of all categories. They look at information and ideas from the past, as well as the present, from all disciplines and all walks of life. In the process of following connections between ideas, a new solution is created.

So, how do we "Think outside the Box" as Mr. Burke suggests, do we accept the Approved Medical Folklore, and just continue to overeat the Crap-Sandwich, or, do we try and figure this out ,on our own?

In the Series by James Burke, "The Day The Universe Changed",  we learn that knowledge, all Knowledge is Man Made.

We Can Think Outside the Box, whether in the Fields of Science, Mathematics, and Even Nutrition, Yes, we will be called Heretics, Unbelievers and Fools, but we no longer will remain slaves to the Old, and Tired Dogma that is the Establishment.

As you can see, we only have the old ways to look to as a reference.  There were no carbohydrate thousands of years ago, we have not evolved an extra stomach or more to breakdown cellulose plant structure for food, nor the natural Enzymes.  We know this to be fact because insulin levels do, and always will rise when we consume glucose, and that high levels of insulin, above 32 uU/mL will shout down Fat Burning and Turn on Fat Storage.

Sorry, There Are No Facts Sir, Only Man-Made Belief Structures.

What are Facts?   They are the things that are known to us, the Sun Rises in the East, you must have oxygen to Breathe.  We know that Water is wet, Wind Blows, and Fire Burns, how? we have all experienced it?   If you can't lose weight, tweak your facts, cut your carb intake, monitor your health, learn for yourself.

This is an easy thing to do, just question Everything, people have agendas, and most of the time We are not part of that Agenda.
