In this video, we’re going to talk about fruit and weight loss. Can you eat fruit after you lose weight on keto?

Yes, you can eat fruit after losing weight on keto. But, it comes with a package.

• Fruits have been grown to be sweeter and higher in sugar.
• Fruits are seasonal, but you can buy them all year-round. If you eat a lot of fruit, you’re getting a lot of fructose.
• Fruit, in general, is not keto-friendly.
• If you want to start adding back in fruit, what is your history of abusing sugar? If you don’t have a history of abusing sugar, you don’t have insulin resistance, you have a fast metabolism, you don’t have a weight problem, and you don’t have a health problem—you could probably get away with adding in some fruit.
• Take a look at all the data and make a judgment call.

Fruits that are lower in sugar:

• Avocados
• Lemons/Limes
• Coconuts
• Tomatoes
• Pomegranate seeds
• Starfruit
• Berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries)

In this video, we’re going to talk about doing the ketogenic diet without side effects. If you’ve considered doing keto, but others have told you about the side effect, this video is for you.

The thing that will help with practically all keto side effects is to do Healthy Keto. Healthy keto is a healthy version of the ketogenic diet. It includes foods that are non-GMO, organic, fresh, and low in carbs.
A normal keto diet consists of 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbs. However, healthy keto consists of 75% fat, 15% protein, and 10% carbs. Why? Because this allows you to consume many for fresh vegetables. You need fresh vegetables for your daily nutrients.

On a standard keto diet, you may have these problems:
• Constipation
• Kidney stones
• Diarrhea
• Insomnia
• Rash
• Fatigue
• High cholesterol
• Loss of bone
• Heart rhythm issues
• Dry mouth
• Hunger, cravings, and hypoglycemia
• Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer
• Bad breath

However, healthy keto helps you avoid these altogether.

Healthy keto consists of:
1. Lots of low-carb vegetables (7-10 cups per day)
2. Quality foods
3. Sea salt
4. Nutritional yeast
5. Electrolytes

1:16 Keto vs. intermittent fasting
1:50 How long to fast
3:02 Why you don’t see results
3:25 Tips for intermittent fasting

In this video, we’re going to talk about the fastest way to get rid of your back fat. What is the most important thing to get rid of back fat? It’s intermittent fasting.

Hands-down, fasting is the most powerful tool for getting rid of back fat. There are three types of fat you should know about:
• Fat in your liver
• Visceral fat (around your abdomen)
• Subcutaneous fat (just underneath the skin)

When doing a diet, the first type of fat to go away is the fat in your liver. Then, your visceral fat. Lastly, your subcutaneous fat.

Some people work really hard to lose weight, but they can’t get rid of subcutaneous fat that causes that roll around your midsection and back.

So how can you get rid of back fat fast? You have to do intermittent fasting. In this case, intermittent fasting is even more critical than keto. However, if you do both keto and intermittent fasting, your results will come much quicker.
About 80% of the population would be able to get rid of their back fat if they did intermittent fasting for 18 hours a day. The other 20% would need to do 20-23 hours of intermittent fasting.

The best thing you can do is skip breakfast. Have your first meal later in the day to increase your fasting time.
Along with fasting, you should:
• Have less than 10 carbs a day
• Excercise
• Decrease fat to under 70 grams if you want to see faster results
• Try drinking unsweet tea or coffee while fasting
• Get plenty of electrolytes and B vitamins
• Drink plenty of water (2 liters a day)
• Use apple cider vinegar and lemon juice
Intermittent fasting helps:
• Boost your metabolism
• Normalize your insulin
• Decrease hunger

7:22 How to do keto and intermittent fasting

In this video, we’re going to cover the keto diet plan for beginners.

What is a ketone?
A ketone is not a fat, carbohydrate, or protein. It has characteristics of both a fat and a carbohydrate, but it’s not either. Ketones come from fat, and they are an alternative fuel source. You get ketones by lowering the carbohydrates in your diet, or by reducing your frequency of eating.

That’s why I recommend a low carb diet (ketogenic diet) with intermittent fasting. That way, you can maximize your ability to make ketones.

Benefits of ketones:

• Increases oxygen in the body
• Increases energy
• Supports the brain
• Supports the heart

Most of the body tissues can run on ketones, but some parts need glucose. However, you still don’t need to consume glucose. Your body can make glucose when it needs to through something called gluconeogenesis.

It takes time to start turning fat into ketones. The time it takes depends on how damaged your pancreas is.

How to get into ketosis:

• Lower your carbs
• Lower your frequency of eating

Why should you do ketosis?

• To lower insulin

High insulin levels cause insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance in behind:

• Pre-diabetes
• Diabetes
• Metabolic syndrome
• High blood pressure
• Fat in the gut area

More benefits of keto and intermittent fasting:

• Reduce fat in the liver
• Improve cognitive performance
• Improve mood
• Decrease blood pressure
• Decrease inflammation
• Improve energy
• Decrease belly fat
• Autophagy

* Your hunger goes away with the keto diet and intermittent fasting.

* Keto and intermittent fasting work best when combined.

* I recommend healthy keto over dirty keto.

* Don’t eat unless you’re hungry. With healthy keto, you will be full and satisfied.

* Autophagy starts after about 18 hours of fasting.

* When fasting drink fluids, take electrolytes and B vitamins, and take sea salt.

Common foods to focus on while on the ketogenic diet plan:

• Pasture-raised eggs
• Shellfish
• Fish
• Sardines
• Organic meats
• Cheese
• Olives
• Avocados
• Veggies
• Nuts
• Seeds

In this video, I want to talk to you about Dr. Jason Fung and intermittent fasting. Dr. Jason Fung is the top expert on intermittent fasting. Many of you already know about him, but if you haven’t heard about him, I recommend reading one of Jason Fung’s books called The Diabetes Code.

Dr. Jason Fung is a Canadian Nephrologist, which means he studies specializes in kidney function. He also has 3 best-selling books, and he’s co-founder of the Intensive Dietary Management Program.
There’s a lot of data that Dr. Jason Fung talks about, but what most people like about him is that his explanations are straightforward. Here are some of his philosophies:
• CICO (calories in, calories out) is false. This is not a true scientific law.
• CICO diet methods do not work with people who have kidney problems or diabetes.
• Low carb diets and intermittent fasting are the best solutions for insulin resistance
• Insulin levels control when you gain weight and when you lose weight
• Keto is not effective without also doing intermittent fasting
• Fasting cleans the body from the inside out.

In summary, if you want to try keto and intermittent fasting and you’re on some medication or a program with your physician, Dr. Jason Young would be a great person to work with and learn from to get some additional help. I also recommend grabbing his book The Obesity Code on Amazon.
