In this video, Dr. Berg explains the difference between a viral and bacterial infections. It is difficult to identify the difference because the symptoms are very similar unless you get a blood test. Most respiratory infections are more viral but can also be bacterial or can be a combination of both. Viral infection could last 7 to 10 days and bacterial infection could last a little bit longer or up to 2 weeks. Antibiotics for viral infection will NOT work and you will develop an antibiotic resistance overtime because every time you take it, it strengthens the microbe resistance against antibiotics and also it causes to weaken the immune system and decrease the flora in the gut that creates secondary infections.
